Vladislav Tatarinovich has been appointed the new Minister of Finance of Belarus.

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has appointed Vladislav Tatarinovich as Minister of Finance of Belarus, BelTA has learned.

Until now, Vladislav Tatarinovich has served as Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.

"He is a 'money man'. He knows finance well. I feel that he was a bit constrained in the parliament. It might not have been his place or his kind of work. So I thought we should try him in a specific but familiar role. He comes from a financial background - he worked in the Ministry of Finance," the head of state noted.

"The man is skilled and knows the subject. Why not use his knowledge? I very much hope that while Vladislav Vikentyevich works here, he will train good successors who will grow alongside him. And we will always be able, if necessary, when promoting him to a new position, to offer this job to
