2025 was a challenging year as the customs operated under sanctions pressure from unfriendly countries. Despite this, the customs fulfilled its assigned tasks and showed worthy results in terms of goods release time, which did not exceed 1 hour for 92% of imported goods batches and 5 minutes for 93% of exported goods batches.

According to last year's results, the Vitebsk Customs' activities contributed 1.4% more payments to the republican budget than in 2024.

In the field of law enforcement, the customs achieved significant results in the form of 67 criminal cases, including, for example, two initiated on facts of evasion of customs payments in large amounts totaling over 910 thousand rubles against groups of individuals who, by prior conspiracy, imported passenger cars at an undervalued cost, and also organized the non-delivery of 11 semi-trailer tractors and semi-trailers within the period and to the place of delivery established by the customs authority.

Also, in August 2025, the customs prevented the import from Latvia of a large batch of psychotropic substances "4-CMC", "4-BMC" and "alpha-PVP" with a total weight of 637 kg. Three criminal cases were initiated on this fact. Further, with the assistance of Vitebsk Customs, another 162 kg of various drugs and psychotropics were discovered on the territory of a private household and in forest areas of the Moscow region of the Russian Federation.

Another significant result of the customs' work in 2025 is the identification of 63 facts of undervaluation of goods totaling over 14 million rubles by submitting a second set of documents, as a result of which the customs seized property worth more than 1.5 million rubles and imposed fines of 760 thousand rubles.
