SWIMMING SAFETY MEASURES
It is best to swim in the morning or evening, when the sun is warm but there is no risk of overheating.
The water temperature should not be lower than 17-19°C; it is recommended to stay in the water for no more than 20 minutes; moreover, the time spent in the water should be increased gradually by 3-5 minutes.
It is better to swim several times for 15-20 minutes, as hypothermia can cause convulsions, respiratory arrest, and loss of consciousness.
Do not enter or jump into the water after prolonged sun exposure, as cooling in the water causes muscle contraction, which can lead to cardiac arrest.
Do not enter the water while intoxicated, as alcohol blocks the vasoconstrictor and vasodilator centers of the brain.
It is not allowed to dive from bridges, piers, jetties, or to swim close to passing boats, motorboats, and vessels.
