Vitebsk Region Weightlifting Cup held in Vitebsk

The Vitebsk Regional Complex Olympic Reserve Center hosted the Vitebsk Region Weightlifting Cup for men and women. Vitebsk Customs, which oversees this sport, supported young weightlifters from the Vitebsk region by participating in the award ceremonies and actively cheering for the athletes during the competitions.

More than 80 young men and women aged 15 and older took part in the competitions. Teams from Vitebsk, Novopolotsk, Polotsk, and Glubokoe competed for medals in twelve weight categories on the weightlifting platform.

The team from Vitebsk emerged as the leaders of the tournament based on the team standings, followed by athletes from Novopolotsk in second place, and weightlifters from Polotsk district securing the bronze.

In the "best athletes of the tournament" category, Daniil Ilyin and Evgenia Ilyina from the Vitebsk team took the top spots.
