The launch of the first mobile inspection and X-ray scanning system (MIAC) in the region was timed to coincide with the 33rd anniversary of the Vitebsk Customs.

Vitebsk Customs celebrated a significant event: the first mobile inspection and screening complex (MISC) in the history of the customs office began operations here. In the context of reorienting logistics flows to the East, the presence of such equipment strengthens Vitebsk region's position as a key transport hub between Belarus and Russia and enhances the region's attractiveness for transit traffic.

The complex is mounted on a MAZ vehicle chassis. The choice of a domestic brand is due not only to supporting the manufacturer but also to pragmatism: it significantly reduces equipment maintenance costs and simplifies repairs thanks to the availability of spare parts and a service network.

The MISC is designed for non-contact inspection of cargo and vehicles. For this purpose, the latest visualization technology is used through alternating generation of low-energy and high-energy radiation pulses, which allows for the implementation of a substance group recognition function to improve image analysis efficiency. The MISC recognizes organic and inorganic substances, metals, and labels them with specific colors.

This allows for quick and safe detection of contraband and goods not declared, thereby reducing customs inspection time to 10 minutes, which significantly speeds up the customs clearance process.

Vladislav Anufriev was entrusted with overseeing this high-tech area. He was born in Slavgorod, Mogilev region, and in 2022, he graduated from the Belarusian State University of Transport in Gomel with a degree in "customs affairs." As a targeted graduate, he immediately began service at Vitebsk Customs.

He started his work in the customs operations and control department of the Orsha customs post. During his service, he proved himself to be a responsible and proactive employee. His career progression was gradual: from inspector to chief inspector. When a specialist was needed to work with the new MISC, Vladislav was chosen — he already had the necessary experience and had proven himself to be excellent. He currently holds the position of Deputy Head of the Customs Control Operations Department.

Customs management understands that for an employee to work effectively, they must be confident in their future. Housing for young specialists is always a pressing issue and is under special control. Thanks to the leadership of the Orsha District Executive Committee, the housing issue was resolved: a comfortable one-room rental apartment in Orsha was allocated for Vladislav.

It is symbolic that Vladislav received the keys to the apartment on the eve of Customs Day.

Vladislav's story confirms that the system of supporting young personnel in customs truly works. Every young person has such a chance to realize themselves. If you are 18 years old, possess high moral and business qualities, want to serve the interests of the state and counter cross-border crime – we will be glad to see you in our ranks!
