The detector enhances safety

Fires cause a lot of trouble. Fire not only destroys state and personal property, but also takes human lives. EMERCOM units maintain constant combat readiness, ready to respond to an incident at the first call, save people, property, and neutralize the fiery element.

Much attention is paid to preventive work, training the population in fire safety. It is very important to timely detect and take necessary measures to extinguish a fire. An indispensable assistant in this matter is an autonomous fire detector, which reacts to an increase in smoke concentration in the air of the room. When activated, a loud signal is heard. The API operates continuously from an autonomous electrical element that lasts for more than a year.

According to EMERCOM Resolution 25.03.2020 No. 13 (as amended by EMERCOM Resolution of the Republic of Belarus dated 28.05.2021 No. 41) para. 4.7 Citizens are obliged to: maintain in working and good condition autonomous fire detectors installed in residential premises, as well as devices for outputting an activation signal to the facade of the building.

According to para. 1 of the Appendix to the Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 22 of 2019 "On recognizing children as being in a socially dangerous situation", parents must ensure a safe stay for themselves and their children in the dwelling, and in particular maintain the fire detection and alarm system in good and working condition.

It can be said with confidence that the API is a very reliable guardian. These are thousands of saved lives. Examples of positive API activations are also available in the Postavy district.

Today, the detector can be purchased in the retail network of hardware stores, BDPO, post offices, as well as online. Power elements for the device are also purchased there.

Practice shows that in households equipped with autonomous fire detectors, the level of safety of people living in them increases many times over. Only in 2021, in the Vitebsk region, thanks to API activations, 26 people were saved, including 3 children. This year, the detector saved 4 lives in the Vitebsk region.
