Results of law enforcement activities of Vitebsk Customs for the first 8 months of 2025

On the eve of their professional holiday, Vitebsk Customs is summarizing preliminary results. Thus, over 8 months of 2025, Vitebsk Customs officials have completed administrative proceedings in almost 1.5 thousand cases of administrative offenses. Based on the law enforcement activities of Vitebsk Customs, 46 criminal cases were initiated during this period.

During this period, Vitebsk Customs officers detected one of the largest shipments of psychotropic substances and narcotic drugs in the history of the customs authorities of the Republic of Belarus – over 600 kg of the particularly dangerous psychotropic substance 4-CMC.

Also, during this period, there were attempts to move spare parts for cars and trucks, and new clothing across the country's border without declaration. Cases of illegal movement of passenger cars were also identified.

Individuals, in turn, committed offenses related to importing alcoholic beverages and cash exceeding the established limits, as well as moving non-smoking tobacco products.
