The State Automobile Inspectorate will strengthen control over the safety of vulnerable road users from October 12 to 15

From October 12 to 15, the State Automobile Inspectorate will strengthen control over the safety of vulnerable road users

In the upcoming period, weather conditions (precipitation, fog, strong gusts of wind, heavy rains, etc.) will significantly affect the accident rate in general, and the safety of vulnerable road users in particular.

To prevent road traffic injuries and ensure the safety of vulnerable road users, from October 12 to 15, the State Automobile Inspectorate will take additional measures to ensure the safety of vulnerable road users, and will also intensify efforts to monitor compliance with traffic regulations by road users.

Priorities in identifying violations will be failure to yield to pedestrians and violations by vulnerable road users (especially at night) who are under the influence of alcohol.

Traffic police officers will conduct appropriate explanatory work in labor collectives, among vehicle owners, and vulnerable road users, drawing special attention of citizens to the need to inform the District Department of Internal Affairs about vulnerable road users on the road who are intoxicated or whose behavior creates prerequisites for an accident, in order to timely remove them from the roadway.
