Dry vegetation is burning

Carelessness of citizens still leads to fires in ecosystems, which result not only in the destruction of wildlife but also in the destruction of property accumulated over years.

Since the beginning of the year, 88 grass and bush fires have been extinguished in the Vitebsk region. The fire destroyed over 58 hectares of vegetation. Fires occurred in Chashniki, Braslav, Vitebsk, Beshenkovichi, Sharkovshchina, Myory, Orsha, Postavy, Gorodok, Senno, and Polotsk districts, as well as in the cities of Vitebsk and Orsha.

Rescuers warn! Do not burn dry grass, do not throw unextinguished cigarette butts on roadsides, and burn waste in designated areas in compliance with fire safety rules.
