"A Fire-Free Home": The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus Calls for Safety
From September 26 to 30, the "Fire-Free Home" prevention campaign, organized by the Ministry for Emergency Situations, will take place in the Kozlovshchina, Kuropolye, and Dunilovichi rural councils. As part of this initiative, special attention will be paid to improving fire safety levels in the residential sector and fostering a responsible attitude among citizens towards fire prevention.
During the "Fire-Free Home" campaign, the following key areas will be addressed:
- Checking electrical equipment and heating appliances: Faulty wiring and furnaces are among the most common causes of fires. Specialists will provide reminders on the proper use of electrical appliances and furnace heating.
- Preventing smoking in bed: Careless handling of fire, including while smoking, is a leading cause of fires.
- Presence and serviceability of autonomous fire detectors: Autonomous fire detectors are a simple device that can save lives and property.
- Training on fire safety procedures: Knowing the proper course of action in the event of a fire can be crucial.
