Children don't look for danger, they just play!

Dear parents! The Postavy District Department for Emergency Situations wants to draw your attention to the problems of child injuries, mischief, carelessness, and their consequences. All rules are written based on bitter experience, but not everyone realizes this until tragedy strikes them.

On March 26, one of the residents of the district center, working as a watchman, contacted the Sharkovshchina District Department of Internal Affairs. It turned out that while he was guarding someone else's property, he lost his own. And for a considerable sum.

The victim reported: near his house, in a field, his fodder supply burned down – 60 bales of hay. It didn't take long to find the perpetrators. It turned out that the culprits of the fire were schoolchildren…

As reported by the Internal Affairs Directorate, two local teenagers, 13 and 14 years old, taking advantage of the lack of adult supervision, decided to warm themselves (as they later explained) and lit a bonfire about twenty meters from the hay. The romantic outing quickly turned into an uncontrollable emergency. A light gust of wind carried sparks from the bonfire to the stacked bales. They caught fire.

– The schoolchildren quickly retreated from the fire scene, without making any attempts to call the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The trail of the heat-lovers was found. And now the parents will not only have to compensate the victimized countryman for the damage, but also bear responsibility for the improper upbringing of their sons.

On May 18, a small child drowned in the village of Zamostochye, Dokshitsy District.

According to preliminary data, the girl was in the yard of the house with her relatives. After some time, the child disappeared from sight. The parents rushed to search and found the girl in a body of water located behind the house.

Resuscitation measures did not yield results. It was not possible to save the girl, who was to turn two years old in June. A forensic medical examination has been appointed, and relatives of the deceased and neighbors have been interviewed.

The Dokshitsy District Department of the Investigative Committee is conducting an investigation into this incident.

 

In Zhlobin, a child died from injuries sustained in a fire. On May 3, 2022, at 07 hours 28 minutes, the rescue service received a call via "101" about a fire in an apartment in the city of Zhlobin, in microdistrict No. 3.

During reconnaissance in the children's room, rescuers found an 8-year-old boy on the floor behind the bed and carried him outside. Ambulance workers performed resuscitation, and then delivered the victim to the intensive care unit of the Zhlobin District Hospital. Unfortunately, the next day the child died from his injuries.

The considered version of the cause of the fire is children's mischief with fire.
