Be a role model for your child!

From March 6 to 15, 2020, the State Automobile Inspectorate will hold events to prevent road accidents involving minors under the motto: "Be an example to your child!"

For 10 days, extensive informational work will be organized among the population about the main risks and threats to children's safety on the road, the need for a proper example, and strict adherence to the rules for the safe transportation of minors.

In labor collectives, State Automobile Inspectorate employees will explain how to be an example to your child, how to safely cross the road, and why it is important to talk to your child correctly about road safety.

In educational institutions, police officers will remind children of the rules of safe behavior on the road and in transport, in courtyards, pay special attention to the rules for crossing the roadway at an unregulated pedestrian crossing, explain the features of "road traps" and remind them of choosing safe places for active games.

Drivers will be reminded of the rules for transporting minors and organized groups of children.

Also, traffic police officers will ensure control over drivers' compliance with the rules for passing pedestrian crossings and the safe transportation of children. Streets, driveways, roads, and technical means of traffic management near educational institutions will be inspected for deficiencies with a view to their immediate elimination.

During the current period, 4 road traffic accidents occurred in the Vitebsk region, in which 4 children were injured.
