Public Organizations

359 organizational structures of public associations and trade unions are registered (accounted for) in the Postavy District Executive Committee.

240 are public organizations (of which: primary – 217, district – 23).

The most significant and active district public organizations in the region include: the public association "Belarusian Republican Youth Union", the Republican Public Association "Belaya Rus", the district veteran organization, and the public organization "Belarusian Union of Women".

These public organizations are numerous. Their primary organizations are established in most large organizations, enterprises, and farms in the district. Members of primary organizations actively participate in information and propaganda work, cultural and sports events of the labor collective, as well as in significant district socio-political, cultural, and mass sports events.

The state public associations "DOSAAF of the Republic of Belarus", the district organization of the Belarusian Society "Knowledge", the district organization of the Belarusian Union of Afghanistan War Veterans, and other public organizations operate in the district.

The Postavy District Branch of the Belarusian Party "Belaya Rus" has been registered.

All registered (accounted for) public organizations in the Postavy District operate in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Public Associations", the organization's Charter, and other regulatory legal documents.

No violations of legislation by public organizations operating in the district have been noted.

5 district trade unions operate in the district: Postavy District Association of Trade Unions, Trade Union of Agro-Industrial Complex Workers, Trade Union of Education and Science Workers, Trade Union of State and Other Institutions Workers, Trade Union of Culture, Information, Sports and Tourism Workers.

The Postavy District Association of Trade Unions coordinates the activities of primary trade union organizations and organizational structures of sectoral trade unions located in the Postavy District.

The chairpersons of the district trade unions of education and science workers, agro-industrial complex workers, and the district association of trade unions, which are part of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus, work on a professional basis.

114 primary trade union organizations are registered with the District Executive Committee.

The main goal of the activities of primary organizations of sectoral trade unions is to protect the labor and socio-economic rights and legitimate interests of their trade union members.

The activities of trade union organizations are carried out in accordance with current legislation.
