SAFE RECREATION ON WATERCRAFT
For many citizens, swimming and boating are favorite water activities. However, boating, like swimming, can lead to serious consequences if simple but important rules are not known or are neglected.
* Before boarding a boat, it is necessary to carefully inspect it and ensure its good condition, as well as the presence of oarlocks, oars, and a bailer for bailing out water. The boat must have a lifebuoy and life jackets for the number of passengers.
* The boat has an inscription indicating the number of passengers it can accommodate. Therefore, overloading the boat beyond the norm is not allowed, nor is it allowed to put young children in the boat without adults. Boating is also prohibited in large waves.
* Special attention must be paid while the boat is moving, and the rules of movement on rivers and reservoirs in the given area, specified in the resolutions of city or executive district committees, must not be violated.
