Andrei Vladimirovich Gavrilenko paid a working visit to the city of Postavy
Andrei Vladimirovich Gavrilenko, First Deputy Head of the "Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations" Institution, spoke to the staff of the "Posavsky Territorial Center for Social Services" and the "Postavy District Executive Committee". He informed the attendees about the national campaign "Detector in Every Home" and updated citizens on the operational situation regarding fires and related fatalities in the region and the republic. He identified the main causes of fires and addressed problematic issues in ensuring the safety of the population.
The Deputy began his conversation with the staff by expressing gratitude for their assistance and invaluable contribution to the work of the inspection commissions, which, in turn, monitor the safe condition of housing and the favorable social situation of citizens.
Andrei Vladimirovich focused not on the causes of fires, but on the conditions that contributed to them – namely, alcohol abuse and unemployment. Topical issues of the meeting included the operation of electrical equipment, electric heaters, ensuring child safety, behavior in emergency situations, rules for using primary fire extinguishing agents, and safety rules for operating stove heating. Attention was also drawn to fire safety measures when handling electrical appliances.
New Year's themes are becoming relevant. Andrei Vladimirovich gave practical advice on safely celebrating the New Year holidays. He shared stories of people whose New Year could have "gone up in flames."
As part of the campaign, he reminded about the importance of installing autonomous fire detectors in citizens' homes and also shared stories of families saved by this small sentinel.
The mobile application "MES of Belarus: help nearby," which can be useful at any moment in the life of a smartphone owner, was also mentioned.
The meeting concluded with a viewing of thematic videos, which left no one indifferent.
