September 26 – Unified Safety Day

On September 26, 2024, Belarus will hold a Unified Safety Day. Its goal is to train the population in actions during fires, emergency situations, and providing first aid to victims.

The relevance of safety is confirmed almost annually by tragic examples of fires: the fire at the "Lame Horse" nightclub (Perm, Russia), at the "Zimnyaya Vishnya" shopping center (Kemerovo, Russia), and others.

Over 8 months of 2024, 30 fires occurred at enterprises and organizations in the Vitebsk region, resulting in three people being injured; fortunately, no one died.

Every day, each person visits public places: shopping centers, polyclinics, schools, cinemas, and clubs, where evacuation skills from buildings, the ability to read an evacuation plan and follow directional signs, including understanding the rules of behavior in a crowd, can be useful.

On this day, events dedicated to the Unified Safety Day will be held in all regions of the Vitebsk region, which can be found on the interactive map.
