On April 24, 2020, the State Automobile Inspectorate will hold a Single Road Safety Day under the motto "Open the season without violations!"
With the arrival of spring, a large number of people eager to "ride with the wind" appear on the roads of our country. Motorcycles, mopeds, scooters – two-wheeled vehicles that are popular with speed enthusiasts. However, speed must be controlled. Unskilled driving of two-wheeled mechanical transport and driver inattention lead to road accidents involving motor vehicles.
Since the beginning of 2020, 1 road accident caused by a two-wheeled vehicle driver has been registered in the Vitebsk region. It occurred on March 6 in the village of Gurets, Chashniki district. A 31-year-old driver, while driving an "MMVZ" motorcycle, lost control on a road curve, causing him to hit a power line pole. It should be noted that the young man was intoxicated at the time of the accident and did not have the right to drive vehicles at all. The motorcyclist sustained bodily injuries and was hospitalized.
Maintaining road safety is the responsibility of every road user. Motor vehicle drivers must remember that they should only ride in protective gear and a fastened protective motorcycle helmet. But first of all, it is necessary to master driving skills well in different road conditions, observe speed limits, maneuvering rules, and not forget to be extremely attentive and careful. As sad practice shows, the slightest loss of vigilance can result in a road accident with severe consequences. Before making a turn, U-turn, or other maneuver, a motorist must ensure that there is no motorcyclist in the same direction and turn on the turn signals.
Dear citizens! If you witness cyclists or motor vehicle drivers on the road in an intoxicated state, or if their behavior creates conditions for a road accident, report it by calling 102 or call the duty unit of the State Automobile Inspectorate of Vitebsk: 58-44-44, 721-44-44 (MTS), 621-44-44 (Velcom), 521-44-44 (Life)
