Year of Improvement
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenka signed Decree No. 1, declaring 2025 the Year of Improvement.
This year marks the start of a five-year period of quality and envisages a set of measures aimed at creating and maintaining a comfortable, safe, modern, and aesthetically organized living environment for people. The state will implement these measures in cooperation with organizations and citizens.
In 2025, large-scale measures will be taken, including those to restore order on land, improve settlements, production facilities, and maintain territories along roads and railways in proper condition. At least two national subbotniks will be held.
The Government has been instructed to approve the national action plan for the Year of Improvement within one month.
The Decree provides for the activation of the volunteer movement and the implementation of civic initiatives aimed at improving the country.
The Year of Improvement is intended to unite the efforts of the state and society to further improve the quality of life in the Republic of Belarus.
