Honoring intellectuals, their teachers and parents
On April 6, at the initiative of the Pastavy District Organization of the Republican Public Association "Belaya Rus", a celebration dedicated to the Year of Science, "Intellectual Constellation", took place in the district House of Culture. The event gathered teachers and students of general education institutions of the district, parents, and honored guests. The discussion focused on the achievements and successes of talented young men and women who defended the honor of their schools and the district as a whole in subject Olympiads, research and creative competitions, and the professionalism of their educators.
The Chairman of the District Council of Deputies, representative of the primary organization of the RPA "Belaya Rus" of the district executive committee, V. P. Arekhau, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. He noted that it was very pleasant to see young men and women in the hall who had won various competitions and intellectual contests. This means that Pastavy region is not deprived of talents. Viktor Petrovich expressed special gratitude to the teachers who invest their soul and knowledge in children, and wished them and the students success in their difficult work.
Then the heroes of the celebration were invited to the stage. And the first to be introduced by the host A. V. Sladzeuskaya were the participants of the final stage of the republican Olympiad in academic subjects of the 2016/2017 academic year: Nadezhda Yakimovich, a 10th-grade student of Dunilovichi kindergarten-secondary school, Ruslan Balay, an 11th-grade student of Voropaevo Secondary School, his schoolmates Konstantin Adamovich, a 9th-grade student, and Nikita Zaletsky, an 8th-grade student, Yana Shalamitskaya, an 11th-grade student of Secondary School No. 2, as well as the prize-winner of the "republic" - the owner of a third-degree diploma in Belarusian language and literature, Irina Pavlova, an 11th-grade student of Secondary School No. 5. Naming their names, Elena Valentinovna told about what the young people are passionate about, what they dream of, what successes they have achieved in their studies and public life. But before presenting the boys with Letters of Appreciation and envelopes with money, the host handed the floor to the geography teacher of the gymnasium, I. M. Prokopovich.
— Behind the success of schoolchildren in scientific activities and Olympiads lies the great work of both themselves and their teachers, — stated Igor Mikhailovich. — The knowledge that students acquire will certainly be useful to them in the future. It is the young generation that will move Belarus forward, to stellar heights.
Undoubtedly, a great credit for the students' success goes to the teachers who were able to prepare the winners and prize-winners of Olympiads and competitions. For high professionalism, competence, pedagogical talent, and loyalty to the noble cause of educating and raising the younger generation, A. A.
