Decree
of the President of the Republic of Belarus

On declaring 2016 the Year of Culture
In order to foster a high culture in society, preserve cultural heritage and folk traditions, and cultivate patriotism among citizens, I hereby decree:
1. To declare 2016 the Year of Culture in the Republic of Belarus.
2. The Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus shall:
- jointly with regional executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee, develop and approve a national action plan for the Year of Culture in 2016;
- ensure coordination of activities of state bodies and other organizations in implementing the said plan.
3. This Decree shall enter into force on the day of its official publication.
