On May 13 and 14, the State Automobile Inspectorate will hold a special event "Safe Region!"

As part of these events, traffic police officers will conduct a detailed inspection of all road users, focusing on suppressing serious traffic violations. This includes drivers who get behind the wheel while intoxicated or without a driver's license, drive into oncoming lanes where prohibited, and exceed speed limits. Inspectors will use covert and mixed control methods, and patrols will also be conducted in unmarked vehicles.

In January-April, 79 traffic accidents with casualties occurred in the Vitebsk region, in which 21 people died and 81 were injured. The work of the State Automobile Inspectorate is aimed at reducing accident rates. During the special event "Safe Region," preventive talks will be held with vehicle owners, and vulnerable road users will also receive attention.
