On 11.08.2021 at 20:57, a report was received about a fire in an apartment at Yubileynaya St., bld. 25, apt. 38 in Postavy.

Upon arrival at the scene, smoke was observed in the apartment. In the kitchen, a chair was smoldering and a pot on the gas stove was burning. The fire was extinguished by a gas and smoke protection unit. As a result of the fire, the ceiling and furniture in the 3x4 m room of the apartment were damaged, and the walls were blackened. It was found that the cause of the fire was the careless handling of fire by the homeowner while cooking on the gas stove. At the time of the fire, the homeowner was in the kitchen. Unable to extinguish the burning hot oil in the pot herself, she evacuated the apartment with her child and called the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Residents of the building were evacuated by employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
