To draw attention to the problem of children playing with fire and children dying in fires, to reduce the number of emergencies involving children, and to ensure their safety, the campaign "Do not leave children alone!", dedicated to the International Day of Families and Children's Day, will be held throughout the republic from May 3 to June 1.

The campaign will be held in several stages

From May 3 to 15, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will hold large-scale events in shopping and entertainment centers, cinemas before children's screenings, and other places intended for family recreation. Rescuers will ensure the operation of interactive platforms with educational competitions, quizzes, and games as part of the "Spend time wisely" PR campaign. A family sports festival "Mom, Dad, We – Strong in Safety!" will also be held.

In the second stage of the campaign, from May 17 to 21, the attention of its organizers will be directed to young and expectant mothers. Visits to maternity hospitals, children's polyclinics, healthy child rooms, women's clinics, and schools of motherhood are planned. At the same time, emphasis will be placed on working with parents of preschool and primary school children. Meetings will be held with fathers and mothers on the topic "Preventing childhood injuries – teaching children safety rules!". For young parents, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will organize congratulatory events during discharge from the maternity hospital. Also, at this stage, rescuers will speak at parent meetings in preschool institutions and primary classes of general education institutions.

And from May 24 to 28, representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will visit large families and family-type orphanages. Rescuers will offer participants of the campaign quizzes and competitions on life safety for children and parents, interactive entertainment and educational moments, and thematic games based on the Ministry of Emergency Situations cartoon "The Magic Book".
